The Trump - Kushner - Pompeo wrecking ball failed to level the Islamic Republic of Iran. Netanyahu has spent six years to send the UN JCPOA nuclear treaty to the waste bin of history. Trump losing the historic election was unable to push the button. Trump's dilemma was between his personal LOSS, need to stay in power on the home front, and clear the decks in order to sabotage the uneventful new presidency of "sleepy Joe". Trump failed on all fronts, except he's doing well splitting the Republic party in two from Mar-y-Lago.
Trump had to get rid of close allies who refused to play along with the president's end game. He ousted Pentagon military leadership, DHS officials and DOJ who refused to throw the election his way. Pompeo stayed on his post as a true Trump believer to do the unheard damage to the State Department instead of accepting election defeat of his boss and take part in a smooth transition.
In my analysis from afar, just as in 2012 with the Obama veto, this time it was just chance that the US and/or Israel didn't attack the Islamic Republic of Iran. The coming months will see the security leaks and be witness how near disaster Trump took America.
The Capitol Riot failed president Trump in blocking US Congress accepting the Electoral College votes. Its failure may have prevented an attack on Iran also. Pelosi alert about the nuclear football wasn't without reason. The Republican party has become treacherous to America, the Constitution and Democracy.

Over the past few days, Israeli leaders including a senior minister and army chief of staff have offered bellicose threats to attack Iran should the U.S. re-enter the JCPOA nuclear agreement. Pres. Biden promised this during the campaign, and his Secretary of State Tony Blinken re-affirmed it during his recent confirmation hearing.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Pres. Trump did their best, before Biden assumed the presidency, to restrict the incoming administration's maneuvering room regarding Iran. They collaborated on both the assassinations of the founder of Iran's nuclear program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, and al Qaeda leader, Abu Muhammad al-Masri. A year earlier, a similar joint intelligence collaboration led to the U.S. assassination of Qassem Soleimani. All of these were designed to wreck any potential rapprochement between Iran and the U.S.
Now that Biden has declared his intent to rejoin the original nuclear deal (and to propose expanding it based on new provisions), Netanyahu realizes he must keep pulling new rabbis from his magician's hat. The result is the increasingly strident noises emanating from Israeli officials. It began with Bibi confidant, Tzachi HaNegbi declaring war was inevitable if Biden returned to JCPOA ...

If 2015 JCPOA would've been allowed to be fulfilled, Iran would've gotten a nuclear weapon. Nothing in agmnt to have stopped it... Going back to 2015 JCPOA, or even back to a deal w minor corrections, would be wrong & bad. Can't allow it.
These signals meant for Biden and his NSC, there was no time to waste. This explains a lot why there was no call to Netanyahu and on policy towards Iran, Joe did a summersault. US European partners couldn't believe their ears when Biden spoke yesterday, the NATO plans were not on this new page of policy towards Iran. Even Macron, Merkel and Johnson were in the "tough talk" mode on Iran just a few days ago! Bravo to a good start in his first 100 days.
In opposition to Democrats and especially Joe Biden, Israel and Netanyahu has a friend in Russia's Vladimir Putin. Many common interests in wealth, corruption and the art self-preservation to stay in the seat of power.

Israel is said to have agreed to purchase an unknown number of Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine doses for use in Syria as part of the deal for the return of an Israeli woman who was held by the Syrian regime after crossing the border two weeks ago. The woman arrived in Israel on Friday via Moscow and was being debriefed this weekend by the Shin Bet security agency.
According to a report (Arabic) in the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat on Saturday, Israel is funding the purchase of Sputnik V doses for Damascus as part of the prisoner exchange deal with the Assad regime. The Ynet news site reported Saturday that Israel’s purchase of the vaccine doses was to the tune of over a million dollars.
Reports of the existence of an unpublished part of the agreement circulated widely in Israeli media, but the details were barred from publication by the military censor. Knesset member Ahmad Tibi has hinted that it relates to vaccination doses; MKs are not bound by the censor.
