Netherlands Delivers F-35 Fighter Jet Parts to Israel Despite Concerns | TS2 |

The F-35 European Regional Warehouse at Woensdrecht Air Base, which serves as the US distribution center for F-35 parts in Europe, received an order from Israel after the terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7. The order has already been picked up by Israel, according to reports.

In the coming decades, the Netherlands will be the pivot in the logistics of spare parts for the European F-35 aircraft. The US Department of Defense selected the Netherlands in 2019 to store, ship and manage spare parts for over five hundred F-35's. Gordian is actively involved in this Dutch organisation called OneLogistics.

Geert Wilders: Change Jordan's name to Palestine | Ynet News - June 2010 |

Rightist Dutch leader wants to end Mideast conflict by finding Palestinians 'alternate homeland'

Jordan is Palestine," said Wilders, who heads the third-largest party in Holland. "Changing its name to Palestine will end the conflict in the Middle East and provide the Palestinians with an alternate homeland."

Wilders added that Israel deserved a special status in the Dutch government because it was fighting for Jerusalem in its name.

"If Jerusalem falls into the hands of the Muslims, Athens and Rome will be next. Thus, Jerusalem is the main front protecting the West. It is not a conflict over territory but rather an ideological battle, between the mentality of the liberated West and the ideology of Islamic barbarism," he said.

"There has been an independent Palestinian state since 1946, and it is the kingdom of Jordan." Wilders also called on the Dutch government to refer to Jordan as Palestine and move its embassy to Jerusalem.

The Saudi Al-Watan carried Jordan's response to Wilders' speech. The kingdom's embassy in Hague was outraged, and said the Dutch ambassador would soon be summoned to explain.

Jordan's minister for media affairs and communications, Nabil Al Sharif, asked for clarifications. He described Wilders' declaration as "an echo of the voice of the Israeli Right" and "crows' screams".

Arab states condemn Israeli minister's `no Palestinians' remark | Al Jazeera - 21 Mar 2023 |

Israel's far-right National Security Minister Bezalel Smotrich says there 'isn't a Palestinian people'.

The Palestinian Authority, Egypt and Jordan have condemned as "racist" a firebrand Israeli minister's remarks denying the existence of the Palestinian people, with Amman summoning Israel's ambassador for a rebuke.

Smotrich had already faced international rebuke in early March after calling for a Palestinian town in the occupied West Bank to be "wiped out" after its settlers rampaged through it, killing one Palestinian and setting fire to cars and homes.

"There are no Palestinians, because there isn't a Palestinian people," he said on Sunday in Paris, quoting French-Israeli Zionist activist Jacques Kupfer at an event in his memory, according to a video circulating on social media.

A Jordanian official told Reuters news agency that Israel had reassured the kingdom that Smotrich's behaviour, which included standing at a podium adorned with a map of an Israeli flag that included Jordan and the Palestinian territories, did not represent its position.

Israeli/American ploy not a humanitarian corridor but an exit for refugees to escape bombs for The Jewish State to complete "transfer" and Nakba 2.0 with the blessing of President Joe Biden and U.S. Congress. Europeans are complicit following the identical narrative.

Department Press Briefing by Vedant Patel - November 9, 2023

QUESTION:  Thank you, Vedant.  Especially after the announcement of the four-day - four-hour humanitarian pause in northern Gaza today, which will allow people to move to the south, there are some concerns about the integrity of Gaza.  And Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also today said that any move by Israel to divide Gaza into two sections is unacceptable.  I was wondering, how can you address those concerns, and do you share similar concerns about the territorial integrity of Gaza?

MR PATEL:  Rabia, I assume you saw the Secretary's comments in Tokyo yesterday morning, and I think it was a very clear laydown of what we see as steps that can be taken to ensure that this crisis never happens again.  And that is setting conditions for durable peace and security.  And of course, part of that is considering and thinking about the future of Gaza.  And I just was very clear that first no forcible displacement of Palestinians from Gaza continues to be something that we feel very strongly about.  We also feel strongly that Gaza cannot be a platform for terrorism or other violent attacks.  We also feel that no reoccupation of Gaza after the conflict ends is something that can happen either, as well as no attempt to blockade or besiege Gaza.  We think that these are principles that will help set the conditions for a durable peace and security for the region.

[All statements lacking clarity, definitions so just empty rhetoric ... no "reoccupation"  of Gaza? By whom ... Gaza is razed to the ground similar to Dresden and Grozny ... no Gazans in large sector of the s all strip of territory? Pushing Palestinians into the Sea it by choice into an desolate desert? Who is spreading these utter falsehoods as the massacre of civilians continues and all Universal rights of humanity are abused. The ugly face of fascism as part of the Jewish State of Israel. - Oui]

QUESTION:  I wanted to ask if you have any comments on Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz remarks today in which, in a Tweet, he said journalists who covered the October 7 attack and did not intervene, quote/unquote, "are no different than terrorists and should be treated as such."  Do you have any reactions on that?

MR PATEL:  I have not seen those comments, so I'm - I don't have any immediate reaction to offer you for that.

QUESTION:  (Off-mike.)
MR PATEL:  Sam, go ahead.

QUESTION:  Thank you.  You just said you're for a durable peace and security and you want Israel to abide by international law.  I'm going to pick up right where I left off yesterday:  Does the U.S. recognize the Fourth Geneva Convention as applying to Gaza and the West Bank?

MR PATEL:  Sam, I am not going to get into the specifics of the legal aspects of this.  I would have to double-check for you.  But what I will just say is that we have made clear --

Israel demands action from 4 international news outlets over journalists' presence at scene of massacres | Ynet News |

Prime Minster's Office calls them 'accomplices in crimes against humanity'

The AP said in a statement: "The Associated Press had no knowledge of the Oct. 7 attacks before they happened.  he first pictures AP received from any freelancer show they were taken more than an hour after the attacks began. No AP staff were at the border at the time of the attacks, nor did any AP staffer cross the border at any time. We are no longer working with Hassan Eslaiah, who had been an occasional freelancer for AP and other international news organizations in Gaza. AP uses images taken by freelancers around the world. When we accept freelance photos, we take great steps to verify the authenticity of the images and that they show what is purported. The role of the AP is to gather information on breaking news events around the world, wherever they happen, even when those events are horrific and cause mass casualties."

Reuters denied on Thursday in a statement that it had prior knowledge of the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israeli civilians and soldiers.

"We are aware of a report by HonestReporting and accusations made against two freelance photographers who contributed to Reuters coverage of the Oct. 7 attack," Reuters said in a statement. "Reuters categorically denies that it had prior knowledge of the attack or that we embedded journalists with Hamas on Oct 7. Reuters acquired photographs from two Gaza-based freelance photographers who were at the border on the morning of Oct. 7, with whom it did not have a prior relationship. The photographs published by Reuters were taken two hours after Hamas fired rockets across southern Israel and more than 45 minutes after Israel said gunmen had crossed the border. Reuters staff journalists were not on the ground at the locations referred to in the HonestReporting article."

'Dead man walking': How Yahya Sinwar deceived Israel for decades | FT |

Decades before he orchestrated the October 7 attacks by Hamas on Israel, Yahya Sinwar was jailed by an Israeli military tribunal for multiple murders. His response: to study Hebrew.

Sinwar, widely known as Abu Ibrahim, had helped build Hamas's military wing, the Qassam Brigades, from its early days. But when he was detained in the late 1980s, it was for his special role within Hamas: hunting down Palestinians suspected of collaborating with Israel.

Raised in a slum in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, Sinwar first came on to the political scene in Gaza during the early 1980s as a "whisperer" advising Hamas's wheelchair-bound founder, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, who was revered within the movement.

Sinwar's neighbour in Khan Younis was Mohammed Deif, now Hamas's shadowy military chief. In addition to helping establish the group's military wing, Sinwar was put in charge of its feared internal security apparatus, the Majd (Glory) Force, charged with eliminating suspected collaborators.

Assassination of Fatah, Hamas, Hezbollah or Palestinians leaders creates martyrs and heroes for an oppressed people.

Israel's evacuation order is nothing but cover for ethnic cleansing | Al Jazeera - 18 Oct 2023 |

The order provides cover for the Israeli government to commit mass atrocities, steal land, and continue the Nakba that started in 1948.

In the end, many have evacuated, but many more have not been able to. Some are not in a condition to move, either because of disabilities or injuries. In several hospitals, doctors and nurses are refusing to leave behind their immovable patients. There are also others who are refusing to leave because they fear permanent exile.

The trauma of Nakba in 1948, where 750,000 Palestinians were permanently exiled from their homes, has never left Palestinians. This feeling is especially palpable among Palestinians in Gaza, the majority of whom are from families displaced in 1948.

Meanwhile, Israeli politicians and army generals are whipping up a rhetorical frenzy. They even brought in an Israeli war criminal, who was involved in the 1948 Deir Yassin massacre, to raise the morale among soldiers. He told them to "erase erase the memory of them ... Erase them, their families, mothers and children. These animals can no longer live."

Everything is telling us that the invasion is going to be ruthless. The pretext of wanting to wipe out the "top political and military leadership of Hamas" is just that - a pretext.

Israeli airstrikes target Gaza hospitals, kill 6 Palestinians in Al-Shifa Hospital | Anadolu Agency |

18 hospitals out of 34 were out of service due to either Israeli bombardment or lack of fuel, medical supplies

The Israeli warplanes on Thursday carried out several overnight raids on Gaza hospitals, including Al-Shifa, the main hospital in the besieged enclave.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Al-Shifa Hospital came under heavy bombardment in the very vicinity of the hospital, killing at least six Palestinians and injuring others.

The Israeli army continues to strike Al-Shifa Hospital, alleging that Hamas military leadership is stationed in it, a claim vehemently denied by the Palestinian group.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out at the ground floor of Al-Rantisi Pediatric Hospital from the Israeli airstrikes, according to the Gaza-based Health Ministry.

Wafa also said that Indonesian Hospital, north of Gaza, came under a series of heavy Israeli airstrikes in its vicinity, causing panic among the medical staff, patients and displaced people inside the hospital.

It added that Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, became the target of Israeli airstrikes, which left two medics wounded and two ambulances destroyed.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported heavy Israeli airstrikes near Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza City, a medical facility home to nearly 14,000 Palestinians displaced.

Perception of Israel

The lesson was obvious. Perception of Israel and its power is important, not just for the country's efforts to deter its enemies, but also for how it is perceived by fellow Jews around the world. When the country is perceived as strong and successful, Jews rally behind it and decide to tie their fate to it. When, after the Yom Kippur War, Israel was perceived as vulnerable, weak, and failing, the number of people who wanted to be connected to here fell.

The Islamophobia industry and the Israel lobby | MEMO Opinion - 30 May 2018 |

The reality is that historically, majority-Muslim countries in the Middle East sheltered European Jews fleeing European Christian persecution, such as the Spanish inquisition.

But racist and imperialist movements always require an irrational "Other" to contrast unfavourably to the "rational West". In past times, Jews were viewed by racists at that sly, backwards "Other", culminating in the horror of the Nazi Holocaust.

In these times, Jews in the West and in Israel are viewed as "the White man" who civilises the "savage jungle" of the supposedly backwards Arabs and Muslims of the Middle East.

Islam is just the most popular scape goat of contemporary demonology. As in all imperialisms, the attempt is made to divide and rule.

But thankfully, many young Jews - especially in the US - are these days rejecting such attempts, and are even becoming more and more critical of Israel and its apartheid system.

How Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism are manufactured through disinformation | The Conversation - 23 Oct 2023 |

A violent threat

In my book, Under Siege: Islamophobia and the 9/11 Generation, I document how since 9/11, two billion Muslims globally have faced collective punishment. Constructed as folk devils who imperil western societies, Muslims have been framed as inextricably linked with the support and promotion of violence.

More recently, this trope was evident in public statements made by Canadian politicians, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow described recent Palestinian solidarity rallies and movements as "glorifying" violence and characterized anyone attending these events as "Hamas supporters."

The ubiquity of Islamophobia has led to generalized stereotypes of Muslims and Palestinians (including those who are not Muslim) as being prone to violence and terrorism. When these racist narratives are espoused by politicians, they falsely equate the support of Palestinian people with support for terrorism and instil fear and moral panic about the Muslim presence in this country and elsewhere.
