Biden's policy on Israeli extremism is- Kiss Netanyahu's ass | Mondoweiss |
In the last day Nides has issued statements of condolence for Israeli victims of the Palestinian attacks, but said nothing about the Jewish settler rampage in Huwara that killed a Palestinian and torched businesses, homes, and cars.
"It is the crudest possible form of racism to express concern for the lives of one racial group and silence (i.e., contempt) when it comes to the losses among another racial group. Have you no shame?" writes scholar Saree Makdisi.
But that is U.S. policy under Joe Biden. Nides and Schumer (who has often said his name in Hebrew means "guardian" of Israel) are affirming the Biden doctrine of embracing Benjamin Netanyahu and pretending that there is no extremist government in Israel.
The State Department went out of its way to clap Netanyahu on the back in the wake of the settler rampage in Huwara. "We appreciate Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Herzog's statements calling for a cessation of this vigilante violence..."

Diana Magnay claims she was upset after Israelis in Sderot threatened her, hurled stones at filming crew
CNN pulled reporter Diana Magnay out of the Middle East after she referred to a group of Israelis who had allegedly threatened her while she was reporting on Gaza as "scum" in a tweet.
Magnay was reporting live on the air as a group watched the Israeli bombardment of Gaza around her. After the report was over, she wrote on Twitter: "Israelis on hill above Sderot cheer as bombs land on #gaza; threaten to 'destroy our car if I say a word wrong.' Scum."
CNN said in a statement that Magnay was referring specifically to those who threatened her and apologized for her words.
...
Magnay was reassigned to Moscow [Putin's Gulag?] only a short while after the incident, CNN said.
What an Exceptional Verdict in Palestinian Family's Murder Proves About Israel's Judiciary | Haaretz - 19 May, 2020 |
When a Molotov cocktail is thrown into a house where an innocent family sleeps, you can no longer hide, blur, repress or deny. Even if they are Palestinians. Even in Israel
The verdict portrays him as the scum of the earth, scum with a large skullcap and ritual fringes. The Lod District Court did not dismiss the possibility that he was covering up for another murderer who roams free; one Duma resident had testified that he'd seen two figures in the dark that night.
Is Israel facilitating aid to Jewish extremists? | Al Jazeera - 13 Sept. 2015 |
Country's tax code grants exemptions to groups making donations to Israelis convicted of politically motivated violence.
Over the past month, Israel and the Palestinian territories it occupies have been rocked by acts of violence carried out by Jewish extremists, including the stabbing of six participants in Jerusalem's annual Gay Pride march and the firebomb attack by suspected Israeli settlers in the West Bank village of Duma, which took the lives of 18-month-old Ali Dawabsheh, his father Saad and mother Reham.
In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to fight "hate, fanaticism and terrorism from whatever side".
But recent findings by Israeli nongovernmental organisation (NGO) Peace Now, show that the Israeli government is actually providing special tax status to groups that provide donations to those convicted of politically motivated violence.

Honenu: The legal arm of Israel's radical settlers | Ynet News - 2019 |
Once a small NGO, the organization is now one of the main weapons in the arsenal of West Bank settlers. It goes head-to-head with the Shin Bet, represents 'price tag' suspects in court, hands out calling cards to soldiers in case they're charged with violence against Arabs, and in the past even provided financial support to families of Jewish terrorists, including Yitzhak Rabin's killer Yigal Amir.
After T.'s remand extension hearing ended, attorney Adi Keidar went out on the street outside the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court and was immediately surrounded by dozens of teens. T., the minor from Pri Haaretz yeshiva, which is in the settlement of Rehelim in the West Bank, has been charged with manslaughter as an act of terror over the death of Aisha al-Rawbi.
The Palestinian mother of eight was killed four months ago when her car was pelted with rocks while she was traveling near the settlement with her husband and daughter. Almost all of the students at the yeshiva were questioned by the Shin Bet, and eventually an indictment was filed against T., whose DNA was found on the rock that hit al-Rawbi's car.
[...)
The admiration Keidar enjoys among those who are called the "Hilltop Youth"--many of whom are intimately familiar with the Shin Bet's interrogation rooms--is a testament to his status. If rabbis at yeshivas are the top religious authority for these youths, Keidar is the legal authority. He is the one that when the time comes will help them survive the Shin Bet and police and later save them from indictments filed against them.
Keidar is the legal advisor of the NGO Honenu. Even his opponents will admit he is a brilliant lawyer who gives prosecutors and the Shin Bet quite a headache. The NGO, which was founded in Hebron in 2002, provides free legal aid to suspects in Jewish terrorism and "price tag" cases, among other things. As such, the NGO has become--at least in the media--the mother base of the Hilltop Youth, so named for young settlers who live in unauthorized outposts in the West Bank.
In the past, Honenu also supported the families of Jewish prisoners who were convicted of murder, including Yigal Amir, who murdered prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, and Ami Popper, who was convicted in the murder of seven Palestinians.
All of this doesn't stop the NGO from defining itself as an organization that "advocates for human rights, ensuring suspects and prisoners' rights are not violated, and aids them in facing the aggressive system of law enforcement."

MK Tibi on death of Palestinian baby in arson attack: "Kristallnacht at the village of Douma was carried out by Hebrew neo-Nazis" | The Knesset News - 4 Aug. 2015 |
The Knesset held a special plenary session to discuss last week`s stabbing of marchers at the Gay Pride parade and the death of a Palestinian baby in an arson attack on homes in the West Bank village of Douma, near Nablus. The debate was held at the request of more than 25 MKs.

"Before the Jewish nation does Tikun Olam (repairing the world), we need to repair our world here," Livni said, adding "I am not in a dispute with an entire public, but I do have a deep argument with the leadership. We will not allow you to ignore, blame us and turn yourselves into victims." She accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of "remaining silent and allowing the fringes to take over the agenda," and called for "soul-searching over what is happening in Judea and Samaria [West Bank, illegally occupied Palestinian land]." Livni said "terrible comments" were made in the Knesset against the LGBT community. She also suggested passing a law named after Shira Banki, who died of her wounds after being stabbed at the Gay Pride parade in Jerusalem. Five other marchers were stabbed in the attack. The law, Livni said, will call for the immediate approval of all equality laws, including the type of civil marriage called "the union of couples".
MK Margalit said "This House is also responsible for the hateful atmosphere, the lawlessness and the moral break in which Shira Banki and (Palestinian baby) Ali Dawabsha were murdered. Those who sowed the seeds of hatred yesterday, created the infrastructure for today`s or tomorrow`s crime. For a long time now a dangerous atmosphere has existed here which gives legitimacy to racism and hatred. For a long time now Knesset members have been in competition with one another over who is more extreme in the incitement against Arabs and LGBTs. Hatred has become the reality of our political and social lives."
MK Touma-Sliman said the condemnations of the prime minister and his ministers "do not absolve them of responsibility. The policy that is being carried out by this government is fertile ground for committing crimes. Ali Dawabsha and many like him have been murdered at the hands of fascist rightists who organize day and night to hurt Palestinians, but the matches and the gun they use were handed to them by the policy of occupation."
Fellow Joint Arab List member MK Ahmad Tibi said "those who burn Palestinians have political backing." Referring to the deadly arson attack in Douma, he said "this fire will not be the last fire, and this murder will not be the last murder, because the policy won`t change. He who treats Arabs as people who are flowing to the polling stations knows that he is categorizing the Palestinians as being part of the most inferior of species; and if he is an inferior species, he is not a human being, and if he is not a human being he is worthy of being burned."

New Fascist Pariah States America and Israel Lashing Out | Jun 20th, 2018 |
During the Clinton administration Al Qaeda grew into a menace for the Global Order by their terror attacks on the WTC in 1993, the twin bombing of U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 and the attack on the USS Cole anchored with lowered defenses near Aden in Yemen. How the attacks of 9/11 has changed not only the face of the world by wars and millions of victims and a record number of refugees and displaced persons from North Africa, the Middle East and in the AfPak region. None of the imperial military campaigns by the mightiest sword of America has done much good, much more evil has come from it. The effort after the Great War of 1939-1945 to maintain International Law and Human Rights has been undone. The latest move by the United States in regards to the United Nations must have come from the playbook of John Bolton.
In some many ways Europe and progressive America has failed the Palestinian people, abide by resolutions UN Security Council, the clear foundation of the UN Charter and the conventions on Human Rights. Norway has a long history of being the exception, from recent events and their local hero Stoltenberg, I am afraid Mars has beaten up Venus.
Israel outlaws 6 Palestinian human rights groups | MEE - 22 Oct. 2021 |
The designations authorise Israeli authorities to close the groups' offices, seize their assets, arrest their staff in the occupied West Bank and ban supporting their activities
Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz today declared six prominent Palestinian human rights groups terrorists organisations which funnel donor money to outlawed groups.
Under the ruling, the work of Addameer, al-Haq, Defense for Children Palestine, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees, Busan Center for Research and Development, and the Union of Palestinian Women Committees have been banned. Gantz said the groups have ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a group banned by the Israeli occupation.
The groups document alleged human rights violations by Israeli occupation forces and authorities and the Palestinian Authority (PA) against Palestinians. They include Addameer, which represents Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli military courts, and Defense for Children-International, a group that advocates for Palestinian children.
"[The] declared organisations received large sums of money from European countries and international organisations, using a variety of forgery and deceit," Gantz said, alleging the money had supported PFLP's activities.

Decision made by caretaker cabinet of Rutte III, in last days before new ministers in cabinet Rutte IV would be sworn in. Cowards.
Of course Geert Wilders is an outspoken Islamophobe of the worst kind. PM Mark Rutte has moved further to the right and populist rhetoric to prevent loss of more voters to the PVV and anti-Semite Thierry Baudet. The Dutch VVD (Rutte I) had chosen a "Likud" member as Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthall. He served two years until Nov. 5, 2012.
Adala demands EU for collective decision against Israel's banning of Palestinian rights organisations | MEMO - July 22, 2022 |
The PCHR and Al-Haq collect evidence of alleged Israeli crimes in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and have worked with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague in its investigation of alleged Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity. All six groups which were banned by Israel believe they were targeted by the Apartheid State for their work with the ICC.
Announcing the resumption of funding, the Commission mentioned the results of a review conducted by the EU's European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), which it said found "no suspicions of irregularities and/or fraud" and "did not find sufficient ground to open an investigation".
OLAF's conclusion is one many had anticipated as several EU member states had previously dismissed Israel's "terrorism" label. Earlier this month EU diplomats also said that the evidence submitted by the Apartheid State "doesn't meet the required threshold of proof".
"The suspension has been lifted unconditionally and with immediate effect," Al-Haq said in a statement yesterday. "Since its imposition in May 2021, it was clear that the suspension was not prompted by any genuine concerns about the possible misuse of funding," the rights group continued. Al-Haq claimed that Israel had tried to "defame" the Palestinian groups in a politically motivated campaign to disrupt the work of civil society.
"Common sense ... dictates that a distinction must be drawn between acts of mindless terror, such as acts committed by Al Qaeda, and acts committed in the course of a war of national liberation against colonialism, apartheid or military occupation. While such acts cannot be justified, they must be understood as being a painful but inevitable consequence of colonialism, apartheid or occupation."
