Their "principles" include forceful democratisation, an emphasis on military power, "the importance of unity between the world's great democracies, represented by institutions such as NATO, the European Union and the OECD, amongst many others" and "Believes that only modern liberal democratic states are truly legitimate, and that any international organisation which admits undemocratic states on an equal basis is fundamentally flawed."

To cope economically with the blow of the war in Ukraine, everyone will suffer a little | June 22, 2023 |
A general wage demand is nonsensical. Each industry has its own logic and past. At one company a requirement of 10 percent is justified, at another 5 or 6 percent.
Companies must also suffer inflation pain, argues Olaf Sleijpen, director at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) - Dutch Central Bank. They should not just pass on the inevitable wage increases in prices, because then a wage-price spiral threatens: an inflation that will eventually become uncontrollable and will wreak havoc on the economy.
Inflation in the Netherlands is a tougher phenomenon than hoped. Energy prices are considerably lower than a year ago, but that has not yet led to a stabilization of prices. The big question in the short term is who will pay the price: the employees in the form of lower purchasing power, or the employers in the form of lower profits?
The DNB tries to be the voice of reason in this debate, but it also struggles. Initially, Klaas Knot argued that wages could be raised a bit. As inflation rose, he began warning of a wage-price spiral and calling for moderation. He denounced the unions that had introduced the term "grab inflation" for companies that raised prices (and thus profits) more than necessary. Now it is apparently time again to remind companies of their responsibility.

WHT on dividends
Dividends from Dutch resident corporations are generally subject to a 15% Dutch dividend WHT. In general, this does not apply to the Dutch cooperative (i.e. 'co-op') in a business-driven structure, a widely used vehicle for holding and financing activities, although anti-abuse rules are applicable. Additionally, dividends may be exempted under Dutch tax law, subject to anti-abuse rules.
