How Israel Weaponized anti-Semitism Post 9/11

by Oui Sat Nov 16th, 2024 at 07:20:18 PM EST

[Palestinian support] ... networks are purportedly "antisemitic, anti-Israel, and anti-American" and attack "American values and ... national security interests."

Those are "heady" words taking us back to the McCarthy era.  This report is the Red Channels of the 21st century MAGA era.

Project Esther: Christian Nationalists Weaponize Anti-Semitism

The winners would be MAGA Republicans and the Judeo-fascist state.  This plan would dismantle one of the most effective movements against US Middle East policy. It would send its leaders to prison.  It would turn the organizations and their mission into criminal enterprises akin to the Mafia.

The report was issued on 10/7, conveniently tying Hamas' attack on Israel to the pro-Palestine solidarity movement: if one is a terrorist, then the other is too. The name invokes Esther, the Biblical queen who ostensibly saved her people from a genocide plotted by enemies of the Jews of Persia.  Following which, Esther encouraged the king to commit genocide against her enemies, just as Israel is committing in Gaza.

My first 2 comments @TikunOlam ... the second post not yet "published".

The Kahane coalition in Jerusalem send a 27 page report to all members Dutch parliament on the root causes of virulent anti-semitism in the Netherlands and the terror groups responsible for Amsterdam "pogrom" against Jews. Of course Moroccan link to Hamas terror and indirectly to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Islamophobic leadership in The Hague expressed their gratitude for the report in the first debate about permissiveness of the Green Party mayor of Amsterdam , Femke Halsema.

How the violence in Amsterdam became a PR campaign for [Zionists in] Israel

Introduction with 7th meeting Obama-Netanyahu in May 2011, talking about the Arab Spring and opportunities for peace in the region.

This is a repeat performance by the Netanyahu Zionist cabal … identical propaganda, slander and hasbara in 2012 visiting Barack Obama in the White House …

Netanyahu Tells Obama: I Have Yet to Decide Whether to Attack Iran | Haaretz – 5 March 2012 | [cached]

The Iran issue was the focus of the talks. It permeated everything from the agenda of the one-on-one meeting to Netanyahu's gift to Obama: a decorated copy of the Book of Esther, which will be read tomorrow night and Thursday morning at Purim services around the world. It recounts the story of the evil Persian King Ahasuerus and his viceroy, Haman, who tried but failed to annihilate the Jewish people. "Then, too, they wanted to wipe us out," Netanyahu told the president.

Netanyahu compared Iran to Nazi Germany, its nuclear facilities to death camps, and his current trip to the White House to a desperate plea to former U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt by the Jewish-American community to bomb Auschwitz. Opposition leader Tzipi Livni decried Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s use of “hysterical” Holocaust imagery in discussing Iran, saying it scared Israel’s citizens and cast the Jewish state as weak.

“We are not in the ghetto and there is no place for Holocaust comparisons,” Livni said. “The nation of Israel is strong. The Jewish Nation today has the brains and the ability to stop our enemies. We don’t need to create an atmosphere of Holocaust threats and annihilation to scare the citizens.” [JPost]

The war rhetoric of Israel’s leadership since the year 2000 is part of propaganda and the need to dehumanize the Palestinian and Iranian people. War is insane and the intelligence and military leadership has made this clear not to pre-empt an attack on a sovereign Iran.

Meretz MK calls for investigation against rabbi who called US president a “Kushi”; Lior brands Europeans as “Nazi collaborators.”

Kiryat Arba’s Chief Rabbi Dov Lior compared US President Barak Obama to Haman – an enemy of the Jews in the Book of Esther- during a conference in the West Bank this week, Army Radio reported. He also labeled the Obama a “kushi ” of the West, a derogatory term used to describe people of African descent. [JPost]

For many, interpreting Netanyahu's exchange with President Obama stopped right as Haman "planned to exterminate the Jews." But as we finish the story we can see the power of diplomacy and dialogue even in historic stories, like that of Esther.

Former and would-be PM also dishes on Clinton, Biden and Barak, thanks an army colleague for saving his life, and admits he wrote part of his memoir in the Knesset during debates

In his new memoir, “Bibi: My Story,” published on Tuesday, the former and would-be prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu details his military and political careers, with a particular focus on the succession of United States presidents with whom he has interacted.

He castigates former US president Barack Obama as having been deeply wrongheaded on both the Palestinian issue and the Iranian nuclear drive, and disrespectful to him as the prime minister of Israel.

He reveals what he says was Bill Clinton’s admission to him that the US administration did everything it could in a failed attempt to prevent his first election victory, in 1996.

He details how Joe Biden helped mitigate his conflicts with the Obama administration when serving as vice president, and claims Biden as president acknowledged to him during last year’s Gaza conflict that the Democratic party was no longer as staunchly pro-Israel as previously.

And he offers his narrative for the chain of events that saw something go “terribly wrong” with his plan to annex 30 percent of the West Bank within the framework of former US president Donald Trump’s 2020 Israeli-Palestinian peace proposal.

Netanyahu, who is hoping to return to power in the November 1 elections, also takes aim at the Naftali Bennett-Yair Lapid coalition that ousted him in 2021, and disputes his former rival and former ministerial colleague Ehud Barak’s account of a celebrated rescue operation carried out by their Sayeret Matkal elite IDF unit 50 years ago.

Israel's wars have sustained the the destructive leadership which brought it to this crisis | Chatham House |

The first anniversary of the Hamas atrocities of 7 October and the horrific bloodshed that followed was always going to be a difficult time. What makes it worse is that war is still raging in Gaza Strip, the hostages haven't been returned, millions of Palestinians live in inhuman conditions and the hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon have escalated in recent weeks, leading to more bloodshed and devastation. More pain seems inevitable from the latest missile attack and likely retaliation between Iran and Israel.

There are many sources of this tragic
state of affairs, but above all it has
been a failure of leadership, at both
domestic and international levels.

The loss of life, the destruction and above all the loss of hope for a better future is heart-wrenching. However, it is also a time for reflection and reckonings about how both Israelis and Palestinians reached this lowest ever point in their relations.

There are many sources of this tragic state of affairs, but above all it has been a failure of leadership, at both domestic and international levels.
That failure goes back far further than a year. Individual and collective decisions to allow - sometimes to encourage - the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to fester for so many decades eventually made the latest, most deadly confrontation inevitable.

Counterintuitively, it is the conflict that perpetuates these leaderships, which are either incompetent or extremist or both, and which thrive on cynically exploiting human traits of fear and distrust of the other to gain and maintain power.

A change of leadership

To break this cycle, it is imperative to drastically change the security discourse in Israel, one that has for so long been based purely on military power, with no political vision of peace, coexistence and reconciliation.

This is only possible with the removal of Benjamin Netanyahu from office. To be sure, ending his reign will not heal the divisions within Israeli society, nor solve the stalemate in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict overnight. But his `stop at nothing' approach to political survival has consistently overshadowed the country's politics, society and foreign affairs at a time when progress is needed in all these areas. He remains the bottleneck in Israeli politics and without his removal there is no space for change.

The Collapse of Zionism by Ilan Pappé

More than 120 years since its inception, could the Zionist project in Palestine - the idea of imposing a Jewish state on an Arab, Muslim and Middle Eastern country - be facing the prospect of collapse? Historically, a plethora of factors can cause a state to capsize. It can result from constant attacks by neighbouring countries or from chronic civil war. It can follow the breakdown of public institutions, which become incapable of providing services to citizens.

Often it begins as a slow process of disintegration that gathers momentum and then, in a short period of time, brings down structures that once appeared solid and steadfast. The difficulty lies in spotting the early indicators. Here, I will argue that these are clearer than ever in the case of Israel.

We are witnessing a historical process - or, more accurately, the beginnings of one - that is likely to culminate in the downfall of Zionism. And, if my diagnosis is correct, then we are also entering a particularly dangerous conjuncture. For once Israel realizes the magnitude of the crisis, it will unleash ferocious and uninhibited force to try to contain it, as did the South African apartheid regime during its final days.
