Germany Struggles with Gaza Genocide

by Oui Sat Feb 3rd, 2024 at 11:49:44 AM EST

America has been using war as a tool to expand its empire and influence across the globe ... pure capitalism of greed destroys humanity just as any dictatorship under communism was or present day authoritarianism. The biggest evil is not preserving peace as is agreed upon in the Genocide Convention and the basis of the UN Charter.

On March 8, it is International Women's Day. According to the United Nations, this day "is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities". We take this as an opportunity to commemorate Dr. Aletta Jacobs and Bertha von Suttner. Two women who were of great importance for women's rights and the peace movement.

The EU has been checkmate for decades on support for Palestinians ... all investments from 2000 on forward were intentionally targeted by IDF bombardments in the next "conflict." Recall the construction of a sea harbor in Gaza paid fir by the Dutch taxpayer.

Wow 👏 the biggest ICC bull$hitter from The Hague ... shame on you ... you had a task and responsibility from the world community and failed to hold war criminals to account.

Germany says Israel has a responsibility to ensure humanitarian supplies in Gaza | Anadolu Agency - 30 Jan. 2024 |

German Foreign Minister Baerbock says diplomatic efforts continue to free hostages, repeats call on Israel to allow more humanitarian aid into Gaza

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) interim ruling obliges the Israeli government to take measures to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians.

"The International Court of Justice has once again clearly underlined what is also crucial for us, that this terrible suffering began on 7 October, that all hostages must be released immediately, that Israel also has a responsibility, and that humanitarian supplies must be ensured in Gaza," Baerbock said at a joint news conference with her Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski in Berlin. Fuck ... the CIA agent is back WTF.

She said that Germany continues its diplomatic efforts for the release of hostages, for measures to ensure the security of Israel, and also for delivering more humanitarian aid to the Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

"We stand clearly by our humanitarian obligations," the foreign minister added.

Knowing that the perpetrator is not the tiny state of Israel but the full responsibility of the Unipolar military power United States, today represented by Joe Biden and FM Antony Blinken ... an emperor is not befitting the PM, but rather Zionist Joe.

Former Prime Minister Dries van Agt (93) has passed away

Van Agt turned 93 years old last week, he died last Monday, reports The Rights Forum, which deals with the Israel/Palestine issue is a strong voice for Palestine, rights for independence and end to apartheid. 'He died hand in hand with his beloved wife Eugenie van Agt-Krekelberg, the support and refuge with whom he was together for more than seventy years and whom he always continued to refer to as 'mi girl', the knowledge center reports.

In an explanation, director Gerard Jonkman of The Rights Forum says that the couple passed away 'at a time determined by them'. "They were both in very poor health."

In private setting the couple was buried. He hated hypocrisy of politicians even after death.

US, Germany 'in lockstep' on confronting Russia over Ukraine: Biden | France24 - 7 Feb. 2022 |

We're working in lockstep to further deter Russian aggression in Europe," as well as in meeting "challenges posed by China," Biden said in the White House's Oval Office.

Scholz, on his first trip to the White House since taking over from longtime German leader Angela Merkel, said their countries were the "closest allies and working intensely together."

The German chancellor said he and Biden's tasks included "fighting against Russian aggression against Ukraine. So it's an important meeting at a very, very important time."

Germany's new government has come under criticism from Ukraine and some in the United States over accusations that it is not fully engaging with US-led efforts to push back against Russian military pressure on pro-Western Ukraine.

At issue is Germany's decision not to join the United States and other NATO allies in Europe in sending weapons to help Ukraine's military and questions over whether Germany is willing to shelve a major pipeline due to start shipping natural gas from Russia as part of severe Western sanctions.

However, Scholz is using his Washington visit to smooth over differences.

"We are close allies and we act in a coordinated and united way, when it comes to responding to the current crises," Scholz told reporters earlier Monday, saying Russia would pay "a very high price" if it attacks Ukraine.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Germany is of "huge strategic value to the United States" and "today is an opportunity for the president to build on the relationship."

Asked about the pipeline, known as Nord Stream 2, Psaki said the US position was clear -- that it "should not move forward if Russia invades."

Biden official admits US refused to address Ukraine and NATO before Russian invasion | Responsible Statecraft |

When asked on a podcast published by War on the Rocks -- a U.S. foreign and defense policy analysis website -- whether NATO expansion into Ukraine "was not on the table in terms of negotiations" before the invasion, Derek Chollet, counselor to Secretary of State Antony Blinken replied that "it wasn't."

Chollet's remarks confirm suspicions by many critics who believe the Biden administration wasn't doing enough -- including offering to deny or delay Ukraine's NATO membership -- to prevent Russia from launching a war against Ukraine.

"We made clear to the Russians that we were willing to talk to them on issues that we thought were genuine concerns they have that were legitimate in some way, I mean arms control type things of that nature," Chollet said, adding that the administration didn't think that "the future of Ukraine" was one of those issues and that its potential NATO membership was a "non-issue."

As Palestinians continue to die, the history of their betrayal by the "Free World" tells us why

Juan Cole, a renowned history professor at the University of Michigan and expert on the Middle East and South Asia, joins host Robert Scheer on this episode of the Scheer Intelligence podcast to tackle inconvenient truths ignored by the media in the history of Israel and Palestine. This includes the conflation that criticizing the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians is somehow a form of Holocaust denial. This view of history distorts and whitewashes the deep antisemitic history of Western European culture, Scheer and Cole argue.

Cole describes the history of what came to be the current state of affairs in Israel and Palestine as a sort of Rube Goldberg machine where the European-spawned-Holocaust fueled the migration of European Jews to Palestine and the ouster of the inhabitants [Palestinians] there who had nothing to do with the German-led barbarism against the Jewish people. [Ask Josep Borrell, today we represent "civilization" and Palestinians are outside and by definition of the EU top diplomat "Barbarians". The top world court in The Hague, the ICJ, may judge quite differently]

Never fully confronted, the gravest barbarism in modern history that Europe had created came to be ignored in the postwar period. In one of the most bizarre moral distortions in human history, the West shifted responsibility for the horror of the annihilation of European Jews to the Palestinian olive farmers in what is now greater Israel. That is the deeply immoral, rhetorical scam that continues to define the West's responsibility for this continuing tragedy.

"You have this exchange of populations, this ethnic cleansing: Jews sent to Israel and Palestinian sent out of Israel. But the Palestinians that were sent out of Israel didn't have a stable framework for their lives, they became stateless people, for a while," Cole said.

In terms of the Palestinians as victims of colonialism, Cole said, "The Palestinians are among the great unresolved problems created by the modern era of this industrial ethnic nationalism and settler colonialism that came together in Palestine in this very unfortunate way."

Parallel Universes: Vietnam and Palestine

Not surprisingly, my sixth visit to Vietnam stirred many memories, among them, a recognition of the parallels between the Vietnamese and Palestinian experiences, two peoples who have meant so much to me over the course of my adult lifetime. I visited Hanoi in 1968 in the midst of the American war that was devastating the country and its population, causing more than three million deaths and deliberately injuring the environment and its human surrounding by using vast quantities of Agent Orange, containing the highly toxic chemical Dioxin. Agent Orange was being used to defoliate large areas of the countryside in the South as a tactic against revolutionary Vietnamese forces who were taking advantage of the wooded countryside to mount their attacks. The legacy of Agent Orange continues grimly to remind people of the war, giving rise to anguished societal suspicions of current contamination that seems confirmed by the continuing occurrence of birth deformities in certain provinces that far exceed normal statistical expectations. The Vietnamese mention this ongoing tragedy in muted tones as the government worries that it might hurt Vietnamese plans to increase their exports of agricultural products. It is part of the present atmosphere in which the war/peace preoccupations that I encountered when I visited Vietnam during the war have now been replaced by according the highest policy priority to economic growth and poverty reduction.

The Vietnam/Palestine parallel should not be understood as a claim of similarity. The two experiences are each highly distinctive, reflecting many particular features of the cultural, historical economic, and political experience of each country, as well as the specificities of relations to their regional neighborhood and global setting. At the same time these two peoples do share defining experiences of prolonged victimization intertwined with bitter resistance struggles because their desired national narrative collided with the geopolitical ambitions and commitments of the United States.

In Vietnam the United States assumed responsibility for a colonial war already lost once by France in 1954, and pursued it with almost unrestrained fury for more than a decade before renouncing the quest in 1975, and slinking home in thinly disguised defeat.

FDR to Churchill: End Colonial Era | 14 Aug. 1941 |

While the Atlantic Charter of August 1941 was not a binding treaty, it was, nonetheless, significant for several reasons. First, it publicly affirmed the sense of solidarity between the U.S. and Great Britain against Axis aggression. Second, it laid out President Roosevelt's Wilsonian-vision for the postwar world; one that would be characterized by freer exchanges of trade, self-determination, disarmament, and collective security. Finally, the Charter ultimately did serve as an inspiration for colonial subjects throughout the Third World, from Algeria to Vietnam, as they fought for independence.

Germany's top diplomat hostile not just to Russia, but to her country too -- Putin | TASS |

"It is hard to imagine a state official of her level neglecting economic interests of her own country and her own people to such an extent," Russian President said

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is hostile not only to Russia, but to her own country as well, as she neglects domestic economic interests, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"[Baerbock] is certainly hostile to our country, Russia, but she is also hostile towards her own country as well. It is hard to imagine a state official of her level neglecting economic interests of her own country and her own people to such an extent," Putin said in the interview, published by the Kremlin's official VK channel.

In his opinion, the Greens party, of which Baerbock is a member, is exploiting popular fears, while conducting policies that are drastically different from campaign promises.
"[Baerbock] <...> represents the Greens party. Many of those who are in this part of the European political spectrum exploit people's fears, fuelling popular worries about events that may be taking place worldwide as part of climate change. And then they profit from the fears they had sown, implementing policies that are very far from [what they declared] when they came to power," Putin said.

"For example, the coal sector has grown. In terms of power generation by energy source, the proportion of coal in Germany was higher than in Russia. And now it is even higher. So, where's your green agenda now?" Putin asked rhetorically.
