Genocide: Mark Rutte Has No Shame

by Oui Thu Mar 7th, 2024 at 08:24:05 AM EST

Entertains alleged war criminal Yitzhak Herzog from Israel this Sunday. Jumping from one genocide to another.

    “… carnage of the past 5 weeks ..” ehh … 5 months ⁉️

Shameless as the Dutch leader is complicit in the massacre of civilians in Gaza.

Setting an false reality ... Israel is not the victim but today's perpetrator. How is this possible ... the arrogance of a Dutch leader knows no bounds. The position of Secretary General should not be awarded to someone who derides international law on multiple fronts ... Rutte is an old colonist of the Dutch VOC ... xenophobic, Russophobic and Islamophobic. Trade and partners trumps all issues of morals, human rights and human decency. An elitist.

Why entertain an Israeli war criminal now as thousands are murdered on a weekly basis on Palestinian land?

Mark Rutte and his cabinet have been more in a caretaker role the past 2.5 years than governing by voter mandate. Bruins Slot is the third FM after Sigrid Kaag (leader D66) and Wopke Hoekstra (leader CDA) … both gone before term ended.

Debates with Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema (Green Left)

Halsema insists: ’From the river to the Sea, Palestine will be Free' is unacceptable | Het Parool - 2 Nov. 2023 |

Halsema did not beat around the bush in her response: “What you ignore is that the slogan was included in the Hamas charter in 2017. The slogan is used by Hamas and Hezbollah. This means he has lost all innocence and that makes him unacceptable to me. Why would you want to use a slogan for which there are so many alternatives, when you know that there are so many Jewish people you are deeply hurting with it?”

But to Tlaib, and countless others, the phrase isn’t antisemitic at all. Rather, it is in her own words, “an aspirational call for freedom, human rights and peaceful coexistence.”

Mauritshuis

During a previous debate, Halsema wondered whether the slogan was punishable. She came back and said she did not know that a judge had ruled in mid-August that it was not punishable. She told the two council members that they can simply use it with impunity without being arrested, but that she has 'major objections' to this. “Freedom of expression is not at stake,” Halsema said. 😂

[Update-1]

Survey shows lack of Holocaust awareness in the Netherlands | 25 Jan. 2023 |

Three years ago, Prime Minister Mark Rutte apologized for the failure of officials in the Nazi-occupied country during World War II to do more to prevent the deportation and murder of Jews [utter nonsense Rutte]. In 2021, he opened a Holocaust monument in Amsterdam.

At the time, Rutte called the era “a black page in the history of our country” and said the monument also has an important contemporary message “in our time when antisemitism is never far away. The monument says – no, it screams – be vigilant.”

A Holocaust Museum is scheduled to open near the monument next year.

Dutch resistance against the Nazi occupation 10 May 1940 to liberation day 5 May 1945. For the colonial empire and Indonesia, the war ended on 15 August 1945. Dutch armed forces tried desperately to halt call for an independent state and committed war crimes.

Four million people died in the Dutch East Indies as a result of famine and forced labour during the Japanese occupation, including 30,000 European civilian internee deaths.

Dutch persons named in Yad Vashem Holocaust Monument in Jerusalem as saviours of Jewish citizens.

Rescue and Righteous Among the Nations in Holland

Unknown for decades, in the Bible belt there were small villages who were “complicit” in hiding or adopting Jewish children to save them from Nazi raids. See also my recent post on resistance at the Leiden University and in Amsterdam the dock workers strike of February 1941. Also a number of religious leaders spoke out against deportation of Jews to Germany. Of course in large Dutch cities, one could not trust one’s neighbour as someone in the family could be a corroborator with German occupation forces.

How can one not cry for what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank. To commemorate the Holocaust in this time and space is inhumane and provocative. The same old political tricks by a$$hole Mark Rutte of the VVD party, successor Dilan Yesilgöz – Zegerius will continue this tradition …

Ahead of genocide, official government policy of dehumanization Palestinian people as a group.

Battle of words: How Israel lost all credibility | MEMO |

In the euphoria of demonising the Palestinian resistance - as a way to justify Israel's forthcoming genocide in Gaza - the Israeli government and military, then journalists and even ordinary people, were all recruited in an unprecedented hasbara campaign aimed at painting Palestinians as "human animals" - per the words of Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.

Even the supposedly `moderate' Israeli President Isaac Herzog made ludicrous statements on the BBC on 12 November. When asked about Israeli air strikes on Gaza, Herzog claimed that the book Mein Kampf, written by Adolf Hitler in 1925, was found "in a children's living room" in northern Gaza.

GreenLeft-Labour (GL-PvdA) calls the arrival of Israel's president extremely painful

The presence of Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog at the opening of the National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam this weekend is "extremely painful", writes Member of Parliament Piri of GL-PvdA. According to her, his arrival overshadows the opening of "this important museum". She also believes that outgoing Prime Minister Rutte should address the Israeli president "on his role and responsibility for the atrocities in Gaza".

The National Holocaust Museum will be opened by the king on Sunday. Herzog represents the Dutch survivors who emigrated to Israel after the Second World War, says the Jewish Cultural Quarter, which the new museum falls under.

The Israeli president has been internationally discredited several times in recent months. For example, shortly after the Israeli invasion of Gaza, following the Hamas attack in Israel, he said that he makes no distinction between civilians in Gaza and Hamas fighters. "An entire nation is responsible," he said. South Africa included that ruling in the indictment in the genocide case against Israel before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

Fundamental Protestant Christian (SGP) MP Diederik van Dijk yesterday lashed out at opponents of the arrival of the president of Israel. "How unscrupulous are you to want to ban the representative of the homeland for all people who survived the Holocaust from the opening of a Holocaust museum?"
