Nato's military commander in Europe has issued a warning about the build-up of Russian forces on Ukraine's border.
Supreme Allied Commander Europe Gen Philip Breedlove said Nato was in particular concerned about the threat to Moldova's Trans-Dniester region.
Russia said its forces east of Ukraine complied with international agreements.
The build-up has been allied with Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine, following the removal of Ukraine's pro-Moscow president. [Indeed a coup d'état led by Vicky Nuland and envoy Pyatt]
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytsia warned that the risk of war with Russia was growing.

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen discussed the impact of the Ukraine crisis on the Alliance's collective security with British Prime Minister David Cameron and Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Gen. Philip Breedlove at Allied Command Operations headquarters in Mons, Belgium on Monday (4 August 2014).
The Secretary General said that NATO "stands determined" to defend all Allies against any threat. "We are at a crucial point in history: as we remember the devastation of World War One, our peace and security are once again being tested, now by Russia's aggression against Ukraine. And the criminal downing of Flight MH17 has made clear that a conflict in one part of Europe can have tragic consequences around the world," he said.

WOW! I've been writing about the NATO propaganda for over a year now, are parts of Europe slowly awakening they have little to say about US military power within the European Community? I always hoped Angela Merkel could withstand meddling by US in the self-interest of the European Union. Hope this is carried forward throughout the western European nations as eastern New-Europe of the Cold War era takes a confrontational stance versus Russia and Putin. Breedlove is VP Biden's man, just as is Vicky Nuland of State, the neocon representative from the State Department on the Ukraine.
Berlin Alarmed by Aggressive NATO Stance on Ukraine
US President Obama supports Chancellor Merkel's efforts at finding a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine crisis. But hawks in Washington seem determined to torpedo Berlin's approach. And NATO's top commander in Europe hasn't been helping either.
It was quiet in eastern Ukraine last Wednesday. Indeed, it was another quiet day in an extended stretch of relative calm. The battles between the Ukrainian army and the pro-Russian separatists had largely stopped and heavy weaponry was being withdrawn. The Minsk cease-fire wasn't holding perfectly, but it was holding.
On that same day, General Philip Breedlove, the top NATO commander in Europe, stepped before the press in Washington.
The 'Super Hawk'
But Breedlove hasn't been the only source of friction. Europeans have also begun to see others as hindrances in their search for a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict. First and foremost among them is Victoria Nuland, head of European affairs at the US State Department. She and others would like to see Washington deliver arms to Ukraine and are supported by Congressional Republicans as well as many powerful Democrats.

Breedlove, the commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Europe, gave a decidedly pessimistic account of the Ukrainian conflict. He also predicted that Russia's success in destabilizing Ukraine would embolden President Vladimir Putin to sow divisions elsewhere as part of a strategy to weaken NATO politically and expand Moscow's influence in the region.
With the Obama administration wrestling with the question of whether to respond more aggressively by providing arms to the Ukrainian government, Breedlove acknowledged that such a move would be a gamble. "I can't tell you what is going on inside Mr. Putin's head," he said, adding that U.S. officials are unsure whether sending arms to Kiev would cause Russia to back down, or escalate the war.
"We have to be cognizant that if we arm the Ukrainians, it could cause positive results. It could cause negative results. But what we're doing right now is not changing the results on the ground," he said during testimony before the House Armed Services Committee.

West’s role and dead-end Zelensky ’formula’
Russia realized after the deal tentatively reached at the 2022 Istanbul talks suddenly fell through that they should be negotiating about a settlement in Ukraine not with the country’s nominal leader, President Vladimir Zelensky, but rather with those who are pulling his strings and to whom he answers.
