Trumpism: Darkness of Dutch Policy In Wilders I

by Oui Tue May 21st, 2024 at 02:33:39 PM EST

Short introduction what the darkness of Dutch policy will look like the coming years ...

As service to my readers I will attempt to cover this Sunday morning ultra right-wing talk show ... it is with great disgust to do so. Every fiber in my body protests this inhumane idiocy that has become mainstream and thanks to "democracy" gained a clear majority in the November 2023 election.

See my previous diary: A Racist to Lead the Dutch People

The Yesilgöz-Wilders right-wing manifesto of implied hatred for migrants and refugees seeking asylum from war zones.

Bullet points ...

  • Freedom to burn the Islam holy book Quran, our culture must be protected [Yesilgöz]
  • Policy shift the Dutch embassy will be relocated to Jerusalem [Yesilgöz]
  • Respect Dutch Israel lobby CIDI and block any BDS activities, seen as anti-semitism
  • Naturally the Wilders government will be for a two-state resolution ... the Jewish State from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, the Palestinians elsewhere ... they have their own state in Jordan, transfer the animals people to their homeland, eternal security for Israel
  •  Law & Order to return to the streets and districts in the cities
  •  Coercive diplomacy @EU HQ in Brussels to reduce our net annual payments and a exemption to asylum law
  •  Compliance to NATO requests to support the military campaign in Ukraine until Russia is defeated
  •  Undo the Green Model of energy transition and legislation of the last two cabinets Rutte III and IV
  •  Keep the VVD policy in place of libertarian economics and no tax increase for the rich, reject superfluity in society
  •  Energy security by building four nuclear power plants in coming years
  • Halt policy to make public transportation more acceptable and end bullying car ownership
  •  Highway speed limit to 130 km/h and lowering excise tax, farmers will benefit with return of "red diesel"
  •  Nature and farming are one, reverse nitrogen limits and let the farming community resolve the crisis
  •  Dutch national identity and culture will be prioritized for our security

In the talk show author Lale Gül ... she voiced anger because a book reviewer target the main character on political view, not on literary value like Gerard van het Reve ... the book is auto-biographic, she herself is the key character and she is only invited to this talk show because the Islamophobic content that makes it interesting in a session of extreme right-wing on immigration in the new cabinet of PVV Geert wilders and Minister of Justice [?] Dilan Yesilgöz and today's guest Johan Remkes a veteran politicus of the VVD party. No offer to debate any topic as the broadcaster prefers one-sided propagations and indoctrination of the viewer.

During the show on Sunday, Gül made a political statement that possible provocations will inevitably lead to terror attacks in the Netherlands ... WTF FEAR INC.

"I Will Live" is the best-selling account of the challenges faced by a young woman growing up within the confines of a strictly religious Turkish-Dutch family, and her efforts to break free of that conservative culture. Upon its publication in 2021, Lale Gül was greeted with a wave of condemnation, including death threats from members of her own Dutch Muslim community. The award-winning author joined us for Perspective to tell us more.

Zionism and Dutch liberals unite to destroy all traces of leftist politics, moral and ethical politics, get behind the immoral acts of America, UK and Israel to fight "terror" on our borders. Need to get rid of the United Nations [John Bolton & Co.] , UN Aid Agencies  too troublesome and the NGOs funded by "foreign" powers.

Lale Gül: people with an Islamic background are fans of Geert Wilders and not left-progressive | WNL TV - 26 Nov 2023 |

According to writer and columnist Lale Gül [opinion maker and not a literary genius] many people with an Islamic background voted for the PVV. "My experience is that people with an Islamic background are very conservative. They are not left-progressive. I am not surprised that they voted PVV," she says in WNL Op Zondag on NPO 1.

Geert Wilders' PVV is the big winner of the House of Representatives elections with 37 seats. People took to the streets in several Dutch cities this week to demonstrate against the election results. A demonstration was organized in Utrecht by the left-wing action group Antifa. People chanted 'you are not alone' to encourage people with a migration background.

According to Gül, these protests miss the point. She thinks that many people with a migration background voted for Wilders. "It is pretended that people with a migration background are mainly left-progressive, but they are not. That has never been my experience [year of birth 1997 - geez], but that is how it was presented."

People with an Islamic background are "very conservative," says the writer. She appeals to the fact that Wilders is an "authoritarian leader". "The PVV is socio-culturally conservative, they are in favor of safeguarding cultural identity. Although that is not their cultural identity, they understand it because they have one foot in the culture of the country of origin. Left-progressive ideals about feminism and LGBTQ rights are of no use to them. The story about climate does not appeal to them either."

'Demonstrations cute and cringeworthy'

Gül finds demonstrators who shouted 'you are not alone' "cute" and "cringeworthy" at the same time. "But I'm mainly leaning towards acquiescence. There are no people of color among them when you watch the videos. It is also a kind of mood-mongering and almost demagogic fear-mongering."

"People are talking about deportations, as if that were a possibility," says the columnist. "If you know anything about it, you know that something like this can never happen and that people with a migration background have nothing to worry about. I have a migration background and I don't worry about anything."

Prefer Geert over Dilan

According to Gül, people who participated in the protests deny that people with a migration background would rather vote for Geert Wilders than for Dilan Yeşilgöz. "I follow internet platforms where people with a migration background respond. I read things like: I would rather have Geert in power than someone where my child will ask tomorrow: am I a boy or a girl? They have nothing to do with those left-wing ideals."

"They are not fans of Dilan, because she is very well known in the immigrant community as someone who, for example, recognized the Armenian genocide and who fought for LGBTQ and women's rights in the Amsterdam city council," says Gül. "I find it funny that immigrants are claimed by the left, while they are not left-wing. That is a kind of marriage that only exists in an apparent reality, but not in real life."

[About the author: Lale Gül was raised in a strict Islamic-religious family in Amsterdam-West. During the week she would attend regular school, and during the weekend she would visit an Islamic school in the Milli Görüş community. She studied Dutch literature at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.]

Dilan is proud to say she is Kurd rather than from Turkish ancestry ... she lies and fails to mention her ancestral Kurdish village was deeply invovled in the Armenian genocide ... she prefers to put the blame on Turks.

The Islamic Community Milli Görüs (ICMG) is today the most influential Islamist organization in Germany, and one of the most important Islamist movements operating within the Turkish Diaspora in Europe.

The conservative embrace of progressive values --
On the intellectual origins of the swing to the right in Dutch politics

VVD Leader and Minister of Justice and Security Dilan Yesilgöz calls herself propagandist of American style Law & Order ... Wild West version to define the good guys (white hat} and the bad guys (black hat) ... no relationship to the white human race ... of course.

Minister Yesilgöz Equates Palestine Protest to Anti-Semitism

The Jewish community in the Netherlands is small. Less than 50,000 people, who have recently been subjected to a flood of Jew-hatred. We cannot accept that. Not as a country, and not as a cabinet. So we take measures to combat hatred of Jews.

As a government, we have just sent a letter to the House of Representatives explaining the measures against anti-Semitism. For example, the criminal law approach to discrimination is examined, as well as freedom and security in education, the cultural sector, knowledge about the Holocaust and the monitoring of Jewish institutions.

Read the entire letter here

This is no longer a demonstration. This is a takeover of our university that is accompanied by anti-Semitism, destruction and violence. It's good that action is being taken.

Political rift widens: PM Rutte rebukes VVD Ministers in Cabinet showdown | 23 April 2024 |

The clash erupted during discussions about the Spring Memorandum, an annual update on the budget where the Cabinet outlines spending changes that it will implement in the coming months. Sources within the Council of Ministers told RTL News that Rutte directed a stern rebuke towards VVD ministers, expressing frustration over their resistance to certain policy measures proposed by the outgoing cabinet.

Yeşilgöz emerged as a central figure in the confrontation. Sources familiar with the exchange described it as a moment of intense disagreement between Rutte and VVD members, with the prime minister asserting authority over the matter, despite the Cabinet's caretaker status and objections from the VVD contingent.

The source of contention primarily revolved around the outgoing Cabinet's decision to allocate additional funds for initiatives concerning Ukraine, Groningen, the childcare benefits scandal, and imposing higher carbon taxes on businesses as a proposed climate measure. [Specification of utter failures 14 years VVD leadership under Rutte !!] VVD ministers expressed reluctance towards these measures, particularly citing concerns over increased taxes for entrepreneurs.

Yeşilgöz, serving as the main negotiator for the VVD at the Cabinet formation table, emphasized that the VVD faction in the Tweede Kamer does not feel bound by the agreements made within the outgoing Cabinet. This stance further fueled tensions within the Council of Ministers, with Rutte insisting on holding power until a new Cabinet is formed.

The caretaker Cabinet is comprised of the VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie (Bible fundamentalists, G*d presides over the Promised Land). Since the election, they no longer hold majority support in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Parliament. The caretaker Cabinet's new proposals are frequently being criticized, particularly by the four parties negotiating a new Cabinet.

Black MAGA Is Still MAGA | Counterpunch - 21 May 2024 |

Naturally, while there he made false claims about what he had done for Black folks while president. It wasn't quite a speech, but he more or less mumbled that he had great support in the area because "I have done more for the people of Atlanta than any other president by far. I have done more for the black community than any other president since Abraham Lincoln and maybe including Abraham Lincoln, but since Abraham Lincoln. And it looks like our polling is very good in the state of Georgia overall. We are very happy about it. We have had -- you see the support. It's been really something."

Buying the Black Vote by free milkshakes in Georgia

It was an act of epic historical revisionism. They functionally erased the fact that he gave succor to white supremacists marching in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, attacked voting rights, expressed a desire to shoot Black Lives Matter protesters, demanded that there be less immigrants from "shithole" nations and more from Norway, defamed black prosecutors, judges, and district attorneys with racist verbal attacks, insulted Harriet Tubman, and so much more during his presidency.

The Racial Storm Is Coming

Yet consider Trump's first term nothing but an appetizer, should he be reelected. According to his campaign website, the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025, and Project 47, he will unleash a program of racial authoritarianism unseen since the worst days of slavery and Jim Crow segregation. And he'll be emboldened and enabled by a constitution filled with ambiguities and undemocratic provisions, by an increasingly reactionary Supreme Court he helped appoint, and by millions of his supporters (many of whom have shown a propensity for using violence to meet their idea of his agenda).

Trump's second-term racial program is already emerging. He stated while president and recently reiterated that "we will terminate every diversity, equity, and inclusion program across the entire federal government" and end Biden's "Marxist executive order that seeks to impose racist and woke sexual ideology across the federal government."

Believe him.

At the Heritage Foundation, the Anti-DEI Crusade Is Part of a Bigger War | Mother Jones |

I attended an event at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC, focused on "seizing the moment to defeat DEI." I have written before about the right's use of the acronym as a codeword to attack social progress generally and the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 specifically. The panel at Heritage--a think tank that in recent years has taken a turn from Reagnite conservatism to Viktor Orbán-loving, Trumpian populism--was a particular strain of this provocation.

There is one kind of discussion over Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, with critics across the spectrum debating the efficacy and benefits of such programs. And then there is Heritage's view: that DEI is a hidden agenda pushed by the Black Lives Matter movement--the plan of "committed Marxists nursed by an international network" who are "dedicated to overthrowing America and its entire system."

This ignores that, as Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor has written in The New Yorker, DEI is often a "popular tool of the upper management of businesses and universities [adopted] after the so-called racial reckoning of the summer of 2020" to quell frustrations--and "hardly constitutes a theory, an ideology, or a political movement." (Many on the left even say it is, in fact, the corporatization of more radical strains of anti-racism.) But at Heritage and in other conservative circles, a potential compromising of leftist values is being touted as proof that the Reds have won and enshrined their agenda.

French MEP Valérie Hayer elected president of liberal group Renew Europe | EuroNews - 25 Jan 2024 |

Hayer, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Emmanuel Macron's Renaissance party, becomes the youngest person to lead the liberal group in the European Parliament at 37.

The position was left vacant earlier this month after Stéphane Séjourné was named Minister of Foreign Affairs in Emmanuel Macron's government. Hayer was the only candidate for the role and was elected by acclamation.

Malik Azmani, a Dutch MEP and the Renew whip, was widely rumoured to be lined up for the role but did not put his name forward. His Dutch liberal VVD party are currently in delicate coalition talks in the Netherlands after Geert Wilders' far-right populist Party for Freedom's shock victory in November's Dutch election.
