Cutting through Hasbara propaganda after nearly one year ... the creeping slow pace of big tech when confronted with Israel rooted bull$hit and massive trolls telling the public otherwise ... fortunately I have been loyal to basic principle of fairness and explained this a long time ago. A phrase even used by Netanyahu at the UNGA to explain Palestinians had no rights to "biblical land" of the Jewish people ... hate speech from extreme settlers was allowed. Illustrating western hypocrisy and doing harm to resistance to occupation and inhumane treatment. Pro-Palestine demonstrations should be allowed in the unrelenting acts of genocide by the Jewish State. Many European states have jumped the shark and beat-up demonstrators, arrested many and prosecuted and jailed some.

Decision by Meta Oversight Board
NEW DECISION HIGHLIGHTS WHY STANDALONE USE OF "FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA" SHOULD NOT LEAD TO CONTENT REMOVAL
In reviewing three cases involving different pieces of Facebook content containing the phrase "From the River to the Sea," the Board finds they did not break Meta's rules on Hate Speech, Violence and Incitement or Dangerous Organizations and Individuals. Specifically, the three pieces of content contain contextual signs of solidarity with Palestinians - but no language calling for violence or exclusion. They also do not glorify or even refer to Hamas, an organization designated as dangerous by Meta. In upholding Meta's decisions to keep up the content, the majority of the Board notes the phrase has multiple meanings and is used by people in various ways and with different intentions
About the Cases
In the first case, a Facebook user commented on a video posted by a different user. The video's caption encourages others to "speak up" and includes hashtags such as "#ceasefire" and "#freepalestine." The user's comment includes the phrase "FromTheRiverToTheSea" in hashtag form, additional hashtags such as "#DefundIsrael" and heart emojis in the colors of the Palestinian flag. Viewed about 3,000 times, the comment was reported by four users but these reports were automatically closed because Meta's automated systems did not prioritize them for human review.
The Facebook user in the second case posted what is likely to be a generated image of floating watermelon slices that form the words from the phrase, alongside "Palestine will be free." Viewed about 8 million times, this post was reported by 937 users. Some of these reports were assessed by human moderators who found the post did not break Meta's rules.
For the third case, an administrator of a Facebook page reshared a post by a Canadian community organization, in which the founding members declared support for the Palestinian people, condemned their "senseless slaughter" and "Zionist Israeli occupiers." With less than 1,000 views, this post was reported by one user but the report was automatically closed.
In all three cases, users then appealed to Meta to remove the content but the appeals were closed without human review following an assessment by one of the company's automated tools. After Meta upheld its decisions to keep the content on Facebook, the users appealed to the Board.
War Criminal Netanyahu Explains Amalek
Amalek: Wipe-out Palestinian Lives | 29 Apr 2024 |
Zionism leads Dutch foreign policy under Mark Rutte and new right-wing majority coalition Geert Wilders (PVV) - Dilan Yesilgöz of the VVD party.
Have you no shame to defend war crimes on defenseless Palestinians living under occupation in a concentration camp for decades now?
Translation:
In recent months I have been amazed at how this conflict has been used in the Netherlands and other Western countries to question Israel’s right to exist, for example by shouting ‘from the river to the sea’ in the House of Representatives and on the streets, or to spread vulgar anti-Semitism. We have also seen useless outbursts of violence in universities and against our aid workers.

Just when Israel was starting to normalize relations with its Islamic neighbors, this terrible terrorist attack by Hamas came. The Abraham Accords, for example, were a great success in improving relations between Israel, the United Arab Emirates [missing Sudan] and countries like Morocco. These agreements had become too much of a risk for Iran for lasting peace in the region and definitive recognition of Israel's existence by Arab countries.
So damn false and ignorant it does not deserve my time for a response. Shame on you lady … you LIE and should not be in any position of leadership. Illustrates the sad state of affairs in a country ruled by fascist Trumpism …

German court convicts activist for leading ’from the river to the sea’ chant | The Guardian - 9 Aug 2924 |
Judge says phrase ’denied right of Israel to exist’ but woman’s lawyer says ruling is a defeat for free speech
The presiding judge, Birgit Balzer, ordered 22-year-old German-Iranian national Ava Moayeri to pay a €600 (£515) fine on Tuesday, rejecting her argument that she meant only to express support for “peace and justice” in the Middle East by calling out the phrase on a busy street.
Balzer said she “could not comprehend” the logic of previous German court rulings that determined the saying was “ambiguous”, saying to her it was clear it “denied the right of the state of Israel to exist”.
She said this opinion could be covered by the freedom of expression in Germany but that the slogan’s use had to be evaluated in the context of “the biggest massacre of Jews since the Shoah – that is the elephant in the room”.
The case, heard under tight security, was one of several since the 7 October terror attacks in Israel and the subsequent destruction of indiscriminate killing of 41,000 Palestinians in Gaza that have examined Germany’s strict limits on pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Moayeri’s lawyers called it the first trial in Berlin that centred on the use of the politically charged phrase court case.
Balzer said the slogan was particularly controversial in Germany, which considers support for Israel to be a matter of Staatsräson
, or reason of state, at the core of its national identity due to its responsibility for the Holocaust.
She added that Germans had an obligation to make Jews in the country feel “safe and comfortable”, particularly in the face of a rise in antisemitic offenses since 7 October.

Greatest embarrassment for (West-) Germany was the terror attack during the Munich Olympics of 1972 and the refusal for Israeli anti-terror units to operate at the airport. The hostage-taking ended in a catastrophe. The games must go on …
