Israel government commission warns of direct confrontation with Turkiye in Syria, calling Ankara a new regional threat

The Nagel Committee - established by the Israeli government - submitted its latest report on Israel's defence budget and security strategy to the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Israel Katz and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.

In the report, it highlighted Turkiye's alleged ambitions to restore its Ottoman-era influence in the region, warning that such a goal could lead to further heightened tensions with Israel with the potential of an escalation into conflict.

Predicting that Turkish-backed militias in neighbouring Syria may act as proxies for the purpose of fuelling regional instability, the report stated that the "threat from Syria could evolve into something even more dangerous than the Iranian threat", referring to Israel's primary regional rival which had supported the late Assad regime in Syria up until 8 December.

The fall of Assad's regime ... put a question mark on the autonomy of the US-backed Kurdish groups in Syria. Israel has maintained covert relations with the Kurds, seeing them as a possible ally against shared enemies.

Turkey has been seeking to gain influence in Syria, which shares a border with Israel. This aspiration can disrupt the peace on the border with Israel, leading to direct armed confrontation with Turkey.

Israel is rebuilding its regional doctrine and preparing for a war scenario with Turkey

Saudi Arabia may end waiting game for approval of F-35 Lightning aircraft (talks since 2017) and place order for 100 KAAN 5th generation multi-role fighter aircraft. A new step in BRICS cooperation and avoiding buying Russian or Chinese stealth aircraft with risk of sanctions. The KAAN aircraft is designed with  two General Electric engines (F15 type).

Israeli support for YPG/PKK reeks of 'Great Game' | Anadolu Agency - 18 Oct 2019 |

Israeli censure of Turkish operations against YPG/PKK terror group exposes larger script of destabilizing region

Israeli opposition to Turkey's counter-terrorism operation in northern Syria, which aims to secure the area for the safe return of Syrian refugees and prevent the formation of a terror corridor, has let the cat out of the bag.

Israeli condemnation of the operation and open support to the YPG/PKK terror groups -- who were using their entrenched positions in the region to launch terror attacks inside Turkey -- seem to have exposed the larger plan which some powers had scripted, not only to change demography, but also to destabilize the region forever, for Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

On Oct. 9, Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates in northern Syria to eliminate YPG/PKK terrorists.

Soon after the U.S. withdrawal from the region, American journal Newsweek quoted a senior National Security Council official saying that if this pull out had not happened, they were out to create another Israel on the borders of Turkey.

The current RSAF fleet

The Kaan appears to be well qualified for Saudi Arabia's requirements as a future asset, even more so if the country secures technology transfers and other benefits from Turkey, which would allow to expand its domestic arms industry. Saudi Arabia has also long been interested in acquiring the F-35, but so far has never received authorization from the US.

Israel Furious w Trump's Message on  X

Trump had reposted on X Jeffrey Sachs' video on the Gaza conflict blaming Netanyahu.

'Deep, dark son of a bitch': Trump shares anti-Netanyahu video online | Ynet News |

Days before White House return, Donald Trump shares video of Jewish professor accusing Netanyahu of expansionist aims, undue US influence and 'genocide' in Gaza, sparking renewed debate on Trump's stance on Israel

U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump may be reigniting tensions with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after sharing a video on his social media featuring a scathing critique of the Israeli leader by Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs, who is Jewish.

In the video, Sachs refers to Netanyahu as a "deep, dark son of a bitch" and accuses him of being responsible for the wars in Syria and Iraq, as well as for pushing the U.S. into a potential conflict with Iran.

The video, recorded on October 22, features Sachs claiming that Netanyahu has pursued a policy since the 1990s aimed at dismantling regimes that support Hamas and Hezbollah--Iran, Iraq and Syria. According to Sachs, Netanyahu was instrumental in driving U.S. involvement in wars in those countries.

"The guy is nothing if not obsessive," Sachs says in the video. "He's still trying to get us to fight Iran this day, this week. He's a deep, dark son of a bitch, I'm sorry to tell you, because he's gotten us into endless wars. And because of the power of all of this in U.S. politics, he's gotten his way."

Some interpreted the move as a clear signal that Trump intends to distance himself from Netanyahu, while others saw it as a calculated step in the complex relationship between the two leaders. Trump has consistently advocated for ending wars in the Middle East and stated during his campaign that he has no intention of starting new wars--only ending them. However, he has refrained from committing to withholding U.S. support for an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

The relationship between Trump and Netanyahu has been strained in recent years, particularly after Trump accused Netanyahu of "disloyalty" for congratulating Joe Biden on his 2020 presidential, which the Republican leader continues to contest.

Of course professor Jeffrey Sachs is one of my favorites for quotations and realistic approach to foreign policy issues of a corrupted Washington DC by politicians whose integrity can be bribed ... AIPAC and corporate interests come to mind.
