But talking about reading, I can echo deGondi below to some degree. Substack has some good authors. I'm particular to Events in Ukraine, who mostly translates Ukrainian and, to a lesser extent, Russian media and telegrams.

Not having any intention to get sucked into any new social media madness I haven't signed up to any of the new ones and don't have any old accounts let, but I still read some legacy twitter guys, basically over one of the nitter interfaces, like this one: xcancel.com.

Other than that it's hiding out on old web 1.0 forums for me
