Trump Blasts Zelensky In Oval Office

Mr President … You Are In A Very Bad Position

Trump Berates Zelensky in Fiery Exchange at the White House | NY Times |

President Trump and Vice President JD Vance castigated President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine for not being grateful enough for U.S. aid. “You’re gambling with World War III,” Trump told Zelensky.

US may halt all military aid to Ukraine -- The Washington Post | TASS |

The decision, if made, would apply "to billions of dollars of radars, vehicles, ammunition and missiles awaiting shipment to Ukraine through the presidential drawdown authority," according to the publication

US President Donald Trump's administration is considering ending all ongoing shipments of military aid to Ukraine, The Washington Post wrote citing sources.

Military supplies could be halted "in response to remarks" by Vladimir Zelensky at a meeting with Trump in the White House and "his perceived intransigence in the peace process," according to the publication.

The decision, if made, would apply "to billions of dollars of radars, vehicles, ammunition and missiles awaiting shipment to Ukraine through the presidential drawdown authority," an official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive topic, was quoted as saying.

Intoxicated into delirium by your own BS anti-Russia propaganda for so many years. So very sad.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy the great bullshitter was called out by Vance and Trump on the policy during the Biden years. The HATE against Russia is eating the Ukrainian leadership from the inside … Joe leaving behind a terror state full of bitterness … the actor following European and NATO (Rutte) script for more war to recover lost territory.

As the confrontation heated up, Zelenskyy used the corrupt Minsk Agreementsas proof Putin could not be trusted in a new ceasefire deal. The ceasefire from 2014 through 2021 was used by NATO to supply arms to Kyiv and train the armed forces, including the ugly neo-Nazi Azov battalion. He was called out on the propaganda lies by both Trump and Vance.

The Geopolitics of Peace - Jeffrey Sachs in the European Parliament

A packed house in the European Parliament on February 19, 2025 heard Professor Jeffrey Sachs outline the cold realities of US power, and Europe's subordination to it. At an event titled The Geopolitics of Peace, hosted by former UN Assistant Secretary General and current BSW MEP Michael von der Schulenburg, Professor Sachs warned the audience, H’To be an enemy of the United States is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal,' and urged Europe to have an 'real' and independent foreign policy - 'A foreign policy that is realistic, that understands Russia's situation, that understands Europe's situation, and that understands what America is and what it stands for.'

A reasonable summary I can agree with ..

It is imperative to watch the full 50 minute video. Pay attention to every word and to how the conversation unfolds.

Trump wants the war to end. He says the US can't afford it. He says it risks WW3. He says that Ukraine is losing and doesn't have troops and can't last without US help. He says the US can help with "rebuilding" in exchange for minerals. This is the best deal Ukraine can get. And Trump has talked to Putin and thinks this is possible. In fact, the terms of a deal are better than most people think. Trump offered a US financial stake "on the inside" of a peace deal. He says troops and weapons won't be needed.

Zelensky came with a different agenda -- to keep fighting with US support.
Zelensky was opposed to a ceasefire, not to mention a peace agreement! He said specifically: we know what our European allies are prepared to offer -- ie, troops and weapons from England and France -- and wanted US support to drive out the "occupiers." He pulled out photos of soldiers and children and tried to manipulate Trump in front of the cameras.

Zelensky eventually starts shaking his head and looking around in fury.

The warmongering media weighs in and amplifies the tensions.

Trump and Vance figure out that Zelensky is refusing their deal of peace.

At that point, the journo asks about Zelensky's lack of a suit and all things spiral out of control, with Vance playing bad cop and asking why Zelensky isn't grateful to the US and Trump.

Zelensky is kicked out before lunch. No private meeting occurs. Trump posts on social media that Zelensky insulted the US in the White House.

Europeans freak out and issue desperate statements.

Rumors swirl about the US cutting off assistance to Ukraine and NATO.

Historic turn of events.

Trump offered a fair plan based on reality and compromise. It was rejected by Ukraine and Europe. Russia will now impose what it wants and the US will supersede the European clown show and turn to bigger things.

Reminds me of the epic Casey At The Bat

Three strikes and the bum is OUT ‼️

"Three strikes": Inside the Trump-Vance fury with Zelensky

The Oval Office shouting match was shocking.

Why it matters: Privately, Trump sees Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a pro-Biden, ungrateful lightweight destined to lose to Russia.

  • And Trump advisers believe Zelensky sees Trump as a pro-Putin, delusional fool destined to make him lose to Russia.

To Trump's team, it was three strikes -- and now officially out of favor -- for Zelensky. In their eyes, Zelensky already had two strikes against him when he sat down with Trump and Vance.

  • That was the backdrop for a conversation that would become perhaps the most epic televised foreign policy row in history -- an argument that rattled Europe and vividly illustrated a sharp turn in U.S. foreign policy toward Russia.

It began with what Trump's team saw as Strike 3 against Zelensky: He disagreed publicly with Vance, who accused Zelensky of trying to "litigate" his case before the media.

[...]

Between the lines: Democrats and European allies, who were far more aligned with Biden than Trump, were aghast at the Oval Office spectacle and at how Trump seemed to be shrugging off Putin's aggression against Ukraine [Prof. Jeffrey Sachs]

The war narrative of Democrats, shock of RussiaGate will remain divisive thanks to corporate media, disinformation and propaganda.

Inside the Oval: How Trump sent Zelensky home with no deal and no meal

President Trump and his top advisers huddled in the Oval Office after the on-camera shouting match with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before Trump came to a decision: Zelensky had to go.

Behind the scenes: The delegation from Kyiv waited in another room for about an hour, still hoping to sign the minerals deal that prompted Zelensky's trip and to salvage the visit. Trump and Zelensky were still scheduled to have lunch and hold a joint press conference.

  • Then Secretary of State Marco Rubio and national security adviser Mike Waltz "went out of the Oval Office, walked to where Zelensky was sitting, and told him to leave," a senior White House official tells Axios.
  • The visit was over without a minerals deal, and without any assurances of ongoing U.S. support.
  • Trump followed up with a Truth Social post saying Zelensky "disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace."

Between the lines: The White House official insisted the explosion in the meeting was not a premeditated ambush. "Our plan was to sign the minerals deal and get into this economic partnership and move towards peace."

NATO chief says Zelenskyy must mend ties with Trump | Anadolu Agency  |

'It is important that President Zelenskyy finds a way to restore his relationship with the American President and with the senior American leadership team,' says Mark Rutte

In an interview with the BBC, Rutte said he had spoken twice over the phone with Zelenskyy following a heated exchange between him and US President Donald Trump at the White House.

Noting that he also spoke with Trump over the phone, Rutte said that he was not authorized to say what was discussed in the talks.

The NATO chief said that he told Zelenskyy that "what Trump has done for Ukraine so far should be respected."

Rutte said the previous day's spat between Trump and Zelenskyy was "unfortunate" and that they needed to repair their relationship.

"It is important that President Zelenskyy finds a way to restore his relationship with the American President and with the senior American leadership team," Rutte said.

He said he raised this issue in telephone conversations with Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Rutte also recalled that during Trump's first presidency, the US approved the sale of the Javelin anti-tank missile system, which enabled Ukraine to respond to Russia.

The Oval Office Shouting Match - Wrap-Up

There was some mild banter. But then a breakdown (vid) occurred:

It was all destroyed when JD Vance, the US vice-president entered the conversation to declare: "The path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy.

"We tried the pathway of Joe Biden of thumping our chest and pretending the Potus's words counted more than Potus's actions," he declared.

To anyone who has spent time in or around the Ukraine war, such airy talk of "diplomacy" - as if it means anything without hard force to back it up - is exasperatingly naive.

Mr Zelensky should probably have let it slide. But he was not taking it.

"Can I ask you?" he asked, leaning towards Mr Vance.

    "Sure," replied Mr Vance.
...
"What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about? What do you mean?"

    It was a mistake.

There followed a barrage of invective about Ukrainian ungratefulness - in front of the world's media.

For anyone who remembers how the whole Ukraine conflict was initiated by the U.S., the hypocrisy played out here is overwhelming.

My comment ...

The war narrative set by Democrats under 11 years VP Joe Biden, the Ukrainian support for HRC in the 2016 campaign, RussiaGate joint operation by CIA operatives and MI6 to fire president Trump by impeachment ... really set  the stage for showdown at the Trump Corrall ...

For me the crucial moments were that Trump was disgusted by the small mind of his guest ... the eyes fill with hate for Russia 🇷🇺 and all it represents, Trump countered by mentioning he understands Putin, he too underwent the scourge by Democrats of the RussiaGate hoax ... but he believed Putin really wants a settlement to end the war ... Trump considers Putin a partner for peace negotiations .... Volodymyr countered by the lies around the Minsk agreements ... Putin couldn't be trusted in a new ceasefire. Zelensky believing his own BS war propaganda after so many years. The bomb exploded when the host understood the actor was playing theater and was extremely rude ... just leave ... no deal and no meal ...

NATO Chief Rutte told Zelensky to mend ties with President Trump and his administration. European leaders ate the Biden shit and extend the losing war in Ukraine ... don't leave decisions on war with these politicians.

Chihuahuas, Not Dobermans

This thieving som-a-gom bears front-line responsibility -- along with his masters, of course -- for the deaths of Ukrainian and Russian soldiers somewhere in six figures and the ruination of the country and the citizenry to which he purports to dedicate himself.

Donald Trump's démarche toward Russia and a determination to end the Ukraine war he shares with President Vladimir Putin, leave Zelensky marooned on an island made of out-of-date propaganda ops.

And now we find Europe's neoliberal elites, having war-mongered their way into the Ukraine morass because the Biden regime told them to do so, wandering on the beaches with him.

As of Trump's Feb. 12 telephone call with Putin and the Munich Security Conference, held in the Bavarian capital Feb. 14-16, the Continent's leaders and their repellent mascot have been left holding a very big [empty] bag.

Zelensky's fall is significant but was a matter of time. Europanic, as I call it, is the big news of the week.

Zelensky has been the papier mâché creation of others since he was plucked from a sit-com and re-costumed to succeed Petro Poroshenko, a chocolate magnate -- Is there not a serious pol anywhere in Ukraine? -- who moved into the presidential palace after the U.S.-cultivated coup 11 years ago this month.

He, Zelensky, was financed by one of Ukraine's countless megacrooks and coached by American image-crafters during the craven chicanery of his presidential campaign back in 2019.

As readers may recall, the propaganda got so far out of hand after Russia began its military intervention three years ago that Biden regime ideologues, with corporate media dutifully parroting the trope, had the great broad masses believing Zelensky was "a 21st century Churchill."

Tell me, I recall thinking, somebody please tell me they are not serious.
In his now-famous dismissal of Zelensky last week, Trump marked him down as "a modestly successful comedian." Sometimes even what we quaintly call reality has its appeal.

As Max Blumenthal astutely observed in The Grayzone the other day, Trump had it wrong when he charged in his contra-Zelensky broadside that the Ukrainian president started the war in Ukraine. No, he provoked it.

I like the distinction. The modestly successful comedian has effectively served -- very effectively, indeed -- as a sort of agent provocateur enabling those with the money and the guns to send extravagant amounts of both into the sinkhole of corruption over which Zelensky presides without the worry of domestic revolts.

How the Warfare State Paved the Way for a Trumpist Autocracy

Donald Trump's power has thrived on the economics, politics, and culture of war. The runaway militarism of the last quarter-century was a crucial factor in making President Trump possible, even if it goes virtually unmentioned in mainstream media and political discourse. That silence is particularly notable among Democratic leaders, who have routinely joined in bipartisan messaging to boost the warfare state that fueled the rise of Trumpism.

Working-class Americans had more modest goals for their government. Distress festered as income inequality widened and economic hardships worsened, while federal spending on war, the Pentagon budget, and the "national security" state continued to zoom upward. Even though the domestic effects of protracted warfare were proving to be enormous, multilayered, and deeply alienating, elites in Washington scarcely seemed to notice.
Donald Trump, however, did notice.

Pundits were shocked in 2015 when Trump mocked the war record of Republican Senator John McCain. The usual partisan paradigms were further upended during the 2016 presidential campaign when Trump denounced his opponent, Hillary Clinton, as "trigger happy." He had a point. McCain, Clinton, and their cohort weren't tired of U.S. warfare -- in fact, they kept glorifying it -- but many in non-affluent communities had grown sick of its stateside consequences.

Repeated deployments of Americans to war zones had taken their toll. The physical and emotional wounds of returning troops were widespread. And while politicians were fond of waxing eloquent about "the fallen," the continual massive spending for war and preparations for more of it depleted badly needed resources at home.

America's Imperialism Denied

"To my embarrassment I have to admit, Victoria Nuland is now
a colleague of mine @Columbia University." -- Jeffrey Sachs
