Peddling RussiaGate BS On War In Ukraine

by Oui Tue Mar 4th, 2025 at 07:18:34 PM EST

Highly irresponsible and likely based on conspiracies and UK weaponized disinformation by the SCL Group, not Mercer's Cambridge Analytica which nudged Trump into the White House.

I have found no evidence Putin's troll factory, hacker Konstantin Rykov, worked jointly with Cambridge Analytica on behalf of candidate Trump in the 2016 campaign. Separately? Yes of course ... the UK based CA played a key role and was defunct shortly after it was exposed by whistleblowers. I have written extensively about the matter, also at my time on BooMan Tribune.

Digging up old bears out of the bullfrog pond ... later more.

Back to actuality of the hours, day, week ... plenty to analyse as tempers are flying and proper communication is lacking. Full fledged kabuki theatre and politicians are puzzled whether they are the actors, or directors. Not even sure what script they are reading from .... #Joe on war or #Donald on peace.

People can't stop reading a professor's theory of a Trump-Russia conspiracy -- true or not | Washington Post - 6 Dec. 2017 |

As Seth Abramson tells it, Donald Trump's alleged collusion with the Russian government is not in doubt, not hard to understand and happens to read like a crime thriller.

The University of New Hampshire professor has become virally popular by reframing a complex tangle of public reporting on the Russia scandal into a story so simple it can be laid out in daily tweets -- and so dramatic his fans can't stop reading, even if critics point out the plot holes.

It goes, in short, like this:

After trying for many years to expand his business empire into Russia, Abramson asserts, Trump visited Moscow in 2013 to personally meet agents of Russian President Vladmir Putin, using his beauty pageant as cover.

There, Abramson writes, a secret deal was struck: Putin agreed to open up his country's rich real estate market to Trump, and Trump agreed to campaign for president while promoting pro-Russian policies.

Simple as that. And everything that has happened since -- the election hacking, Trump's improbable win and a special counsel's investigation into his campaign and administration -- follows from that deal, in Abramson's telling.

There are, to be sure, many leaps in his analysis.

The left has begun to rival
Trump himself as an incubator
for sinister musings and crackpot
accusations, with Twitter used to
market-test the most outlandish
forms of political insanity.

Abramson's tweets link copiously to sources, but they range in quality from investigative news articles to off-the-wall Facebook posts and tweets from Tom Arnold. The New Republic and Atlantic have both dismissed the professor as a conspiracy theorist.

Stop Listening to Seth Abramson's Hack Trump-Russia Theories | 25 April 2017 |  By Jacob Weindling

Seth Abramson is a writer, poet, attorney, editor and assistant professor of English at the University of New Hampshire, but he is most well-known for his unhinged Twitter account. To begin understanding the fraudulent narrative that he spreads across the web like a virus, we'll start with a little anecdote ...

Washington now ‘largely aligns’ with Moscow’s vision, Kremlin says

Tension between the United States and Ukraine, laid bare in the Oval Office meeting of Trump and Zelensky, is seen in Moscow as a “gift.”

MOSCOW — The Trump administration’s rewrite of decades of U.S. foreign policy on Russia, laid bare in the Oval Office confrontation between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, is bringing Washington into alignment with Moscow, the Kremlin said Sunday — a shift that could upend the geopolitics that have governed international relations since World War II.

“The new administration is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, state television reported Sunday. “This largely aligns with our vision.”

Moscow’s vision, which has focused on a push to reclaim influence over much or all of the former Soviet Union and defeat liberal democracy, has made Russia a pariah to the West.

The United States has given over a hundred billion dollars in arms and aid to Ukraine since Russia’s unprovoked invasion in 2022. Washington led allies in imposing new sanctions on Moscow; the International Criminal Court issued a warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin on charges of war crimes.

But on Sunday, as European leaders rallied behind Zelensky in London, Peskov said the administration’s new approach could herald a new thaw between Washington and Moscow.

“There is a long way to go because a lot of damage has been done to the whole complex of bilateral relations,” he said. “But if the political will of the two leaders, President Putin and President Trump, is maintained, this path can be quite quick and successful.”

The Oval Office blowup last week, in which Vice President JD Vance accused Zelensky of insufficient gratitude for U.S. support and Trump warned that his refusal to compromise with Putin was “gambling with World War III,” has been seen here as a “gift” to the Kremlin.
