Bill Bradley on Russia and NATO

by Oui Wed May 7th, 2025 at 02:11:30 PM EST

My hero from early 1960s ... a basketball star for Crystal City Mo playing his senior year in high school district championship of the State of Missouri ... beat our star team just about single-handedly. Amazing person from my generation ... someone with common sense and decency.

INTERVIEW | Bill Bradley - Knicks Legend & Former US Senator

Excuse to Bill Bradley for soiling this diary with the face and blabber of Joe Biden ... an arrogant a$$hole on U.S. Foreign Policy failures over 50 years ...

Senator Biden On NATO Expansion - June 1997

.

Atlantic Council on JUNE 18, 1997 - NATO Expansion

"Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) talked about the possibility of NATO expansion and what it could mean for the future of foreign diplomacy. He outlined his support for enlargement of NATO and gave his predictions for the Senate's position on the issue. The Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland are the United States' choices for membership in NATO"

Another hero of mine, Prof. Jeffrey Sachs ...

Jeffrey Sachs: "NATO must be abolished, EU must practice direct diplomacy with Russia without US"

Brussels 06-05-2025 - De Wereld Morgen : It's madness to equate EU-membership with NATO-membership. NATO is an aggressive military alliance. The EU is an alliance for peace and prosperity. The OSCE could be a civilian intermediary for collective security in Europa. The Belgian federal system (a.o.) offers ideas for a way out for Ukraine, Palestine and other places.

Russia's SVR Report Exposes EU & Ukraine's Plot to Hijack Victory Day!

The 80th anniversary of Victory Day, marking the Soviet Union's defeat of Nazi Germany, has become a battlefield of narratives in 2025. What was once a symbol of global unity has now exposed the deepening ideological rift between Russia and the West. With EU leaders accused of whitewashing fascist legacies and Ukraine distancing itself from its Soviet past, the Kremlin has gone on the offensive--accusing Kyiv and Brussels of historical revisionism. From political boycotts to provocative cartoons, Russia warns that the West is erasing the Red Army's sacrifice and weaponizing history. As commemorations descend into confrontation, Victory Day becomes yet another front in the escalating East-West divide.

TRT World - Victory Day Parade Moscow (Rehearsal)

As Russian President Vladimir Putin prepares for his heavily choreographed May 9 "Victory Day" military parade, he's been clear who's at the top of his guest list: Xi Jinping.

The Chinese leader is set to arrive in Moscow on Wednesday for a four-day state visit, where he'll deepen "mutual trust" with Putin, according to Beijing, and attend activities commemorating 80 years since the Allied forces' World War II victory over Nazi Germany.

Xi's attendance marks a strong showing of unity between the two autocrats and their nations at a moment when US President Donald Trump's "America First" diplomacy has shaken global alliances and reshaped relations between Washington and both powers. In remarks last month, Putin described Xi as his "main guest."
