The Supreme Court ruled on Friday that many of President Donald Trump's sweeping global tariffs were illegal, dealing a blow to a core part of his economic agenda.
The court ruled in a 6-3 opinion that tariffs passed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act would be "a transformative expansion of the President's authority over tariff policy" against the explicit restrictions laid out by Congress in bills..

It's also beyond satirical that Trump, who is at the center of numerous current court cases and was convicted of numerous felonies, is splashing his face on the exterior of the Department of Justice. But this is par for the course for Trump, who appointed his own personal attorney, Pam Bondi, as attorney general.
"This is also not the first time Trump has put his face or name on a building to stake claim on an agency, department or even a memorial that really belongs to the American people. It's a true mark of a wannabe dictator. These banners, and similar ones displayed on government buildings across the district, should be removed immediately. In the U.S., we have no supreme rulers, no kings and no dictators."
