I'm interested how you all feel about the constitution.
As a citizen of one of the two countries that had a referendum on the issue, I had the privilege to vote on it. I rejected it, because I don't like the undemocratic elements of the proposed system (and of the current) and am not in favour of a European superstate that creates more and more rules and laws while the democratic, elected parliaments have to take a step back.
So, how did you vote? Or feel about it?
Plus, what do you think should happen next?

Back from the front page - Jerome. A great presentation of the parties of the Left in the Netherlands. Edited to put most of the text below the fold.
[For recent Dutch political history: my recent diary does a little explaining]

With the municipal elections less then six months away, and general elections coming up in 2007, I thought it might be interesting for all of you to get a heads-up from the Netherlands. In this post, relevent recent electoral history.

Oui has posted a diary about the Dutch PM Jan Peter Balkenende. He's pretty fond of him, it seems (and he's not alone- Balkenende does have some support left). Why is Balkenende the wrong leader for the Netherlands? What has he done wrong? And why shouldn't he be re-elected?
